曹毅博士是Cranfield大学工程学院的高级讲师。1985年获得浙江大学自动控制工程硕士学位。1996年获得英国Exeter大学工程博士学位。多年来,从事高级过程控制研究和应用,在国际学术期刊和会议上发表学术研究论文100多篇,以及学术专著和专利多篇。研究领域包括过程建模,优化和控制, 控制结构设计, 自优化控制,非线性预测控制,非线性系统辩识,生物系统控制, 多相流控制,以及过程故障检测和诊断。 曹毅博士曾荣获1996年 Journal of Control  Engineering Practice 的最佳工业应用论文奖和2010年英国东部能源部(EEEgr) 颁发的创新发明奖。
曹毅教授从2018年5月起在浙江大学化学和生物工程学院任职。从2000年到2018年,曹毅教授曾在英国Cranfield克兰菲尔德大学工程学院从事过程控制方面的教学和科研,历任讲师,高级讲师和Reader。1985年在浙江大学获得工业自动化硕士学位,1996年在英国埃克塞特大学获得博士学位。曹毅教授的研究方向为高级过程控制,包括非线性系统辨识、非线性模型预测控制、自优化控制和统计过程监控。他撰写专著一部,发表研究论文180余篇。其中一篇论文于1996年被“控制工程实践”杂志评为最佳工业应用论文,另一篇被国际自动控制联合会化工过程先进控制会议(ADCHEM 2015)评为“最佳论文”。作为主要发明人,他所开发的段塞流控制技术于2010年获得东英格兰能源集团(EEEgr)创新奖,该技术分别于2011年和2015年在北海和西非进行了现场试验,取得了显著的油气增产效果。
<br>Yi Cao is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Process and Systems Engineering. He obtained his MEng in Control Engineering from Zhejiang University in P. R. China in 1985 and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Exeter in 1996. His research interests are in process modelling, optimisation and control, in particular, control structure selection and process controllability analysis, and nonlinear model predictive control. He has published one monograph in Optimal Control Theory and Applications and over 70 refereed journal and conference research papers. One of these papers has been awarded as the best industrial application paper at the conference Control’96 by the journal of Control Engineering Practice in 1996.

He also held several Research Associate positions from the University of Leicester, Loughborough University, and the University of Exeter, between 1996 and 2000. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in 1995 and a Lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, between 1985 and 1992. His research interests are in advanced process control, including self-optimizing control, nonlinear system identification, nonlinear model predictive control and process monitoring.,Prof. Cao was a recipient the Control Engineering Practice Paper Prize at the Control ’96, the Energy Innovation Award from the East England Energy Group in 2010, the Best Oral Presentation Award at the ADCHEM 2015.
