曹毅博士是Cranfield大学工程学院的高级讲师。1985年获得浙江大学自动控制工程硕士学位。1996年获得英国Exeter大学工程博士学位。多年来，从事高级过程控制研究和应用，在国际学术期刊和会议上发表学术研究论文100多篇，以及学术专著和专利多篇。研究领域包括过程建模，优化和控制， 控制结构设计， 自优化控制，非线性预测控制，非线性系统辩识，生物系统控制， 多相流控制，以及过程故障检测和诊断。 曹毅博士曾荣获1996年 Journal of Control Engineering Practice 的最佳工业应用论文奖和2010年英国东部能源部（EEEgr） 颁发的创新发明奖。
Yi Cao is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Process and Systems Engineering. He obtained his MEng in Control Engineering from Zhejiang University in P. R. China in 1985 and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Exeter in 1996. His research interests are in process modelling, optimisation and control, in particular, control structure selection and process controllability analysis, and nonlinear model predictive control. He has published one monograph in Optimal Control Theory and Applications and over 70 refereed journal and conference research papers. One of these papers has been awarded as the best industrial application paper at the conference Control’96 by the journal of Control Engineering Practice in 1996.
