晨六点起。九点至校。劲夫来谈，为机械系教员事。偕松、允敏赴石家堡晤田德望，渠新由新城迁来。遇张君川、陈连耕，知沈思岩夫妇今晨去筑飞滇垣。晤洽周。遇缪彦威与杨耀德。又至叶左之家，知左之病水泻。近日患泻者日多，朱善培、黄尊生夫人亦患泻。十二点回寓。中膳后睡一小时。四点在柿花园一号洗浴。五点回。羽仪太太来谈，知酒精厂汤主任辞职。
今日接一匿名信，谓近来校风日坏，每至大考时必夹带、偷看等弊端丛生，因之学生不读书而从事政治生活，少数教员考试时不到场监考，让助教代监，等于虚设。因之有若干坏学生更肆无忌惮，平日遂不读书。文学院从来不以学业开除一个学生，亦是怪事。余今为洽周言之。
今日接迪生函，知其患胃病甚剧，请一闻姓医生诊治，闻有胃癌之嫌疑。余甚为忧虑，嘱其往歌乐山看张孝霉，张系治胃专家也。
