Dr. Yongan Tang - Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Mathematics and Physics, North Carolina Central University

Dr. Yongan Tang joined the Department of Physics at North Carolina Central University in 2006. He graduated from Dr. Salamo's nonlinear optics Lab at University of Arkansas. After receiving his doctorate in 2004, Yongan joined the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2004-2006) where he researched the fiber optics and applications of semiconductor optical amplifiers. As a research faculty at the Department of Physics in North Carolina Central University (2006-present) Yongan’s research focus moved to nanophotonics. He is the coordinator of SRSP, the Science and Research Summer Program for local high school students.
